Tip: add a dot in Windows Explorer for a filename that is just an extension

Windows Explorer does not allow you to set the name of a file to just an extension, like .htaccess. When you try it Explorer shows the error message You must type a file name.

Just add an extra dot behind the name like .htaccess. and Explorer will accept it and remove the extra dot automatically.
